Built Environment Forum Scotland (BEFS) is a membership organisation bringing together voluntary and professional non-governmental organisations that operate at the national level and represent people who work within the built environment sector. Measuring Success

As part of this initiative a set of ‘baseline’ measures have been agreed. Data is mainly drawn from the SHEA at this stage.  The ambition is to develop an outcome-focussed performance measurement that can illustrate the value of the historic environment and the impact of the sector.


Historic Environment Scotland Act

The Act received Royal Assent on the 9th December 2014. The Scottish Government consultation on draft secondary legislation for scheduling, listing, their consequent consents and new rights of appeal closed on 27 March 2015. BEFS HES Act taskforce submitted a response.
