Work areas

This section provides an overview of BEFS on-going work and topical issues.

Working groups and taskforces

Much of BEFS work is currently focusing on Historic Environment related issues. BEFS is however seeking to develop its work on wider Built Environment issues.

BEFS works through working groups and taskforces. A working group leads on BEFS' work in a specific area, while a taskforce focuses on a more short-term issue.

BEFS currently has one working group: The Historic Environment Working Group and two taskforces: The Marine Historic Environment Taskforce and the Historic Environment Bill Taskforce.

Joint consultations

BEFS regularly submits joint responses to public consultations and encourages members and stakeholders to submit individual responses. You can find an overview of current and upcoming consultations which may be of interest for organisations and individuals interested in Built Environment under Current Consultations.
