Join BEFS

BEFS is a membership organisation. There are three levels of membership:

Member: for bodies that meet all of the following criteria:
recognition by the majority of existing BEFS Members as non-governmental organisations or recognised professional bodies;
are Scottish organisations or have a significant separate Scottish identity;
aims and objectives are compatible with the BEFS objectives.

Subscriber: for organisations not eligible for full Membership, but that wish to be kept informed of BEFS activities.

Supporter: for individuals that wish to be kept informed of BEFS activities.

How to apply

To apply please download and complete the application form (as word document) (as pdf), sign and submit, with a copy of your constitution, to the BEFS office. The Board will then review your application and can admit your organisation to the forum as a Subscriber, until the time of the next quarterly General Meeting of members when the membership will consider your application, based on a Board recommendation. Membership applications must be approved by 2/3 of the membership present and voting at the meeting.
